Welcome to PearlYurGurl.com!
Once upon a time, a most noble knight courted a plucky washer woman with the dreams of marriage and a family. The courting was a success and so too was the family, however the affectionate washer woman drank away her dowry. Alas, the knight decided to remain in their lives but continuted to exercise his lance at other fairies across the land. The washer woman wasn’t really into him anyway. Regardless of her baby daddy on the road, the washer woman and the villagers had a joyous welcome of little baby Pearl..Pearl Clearwater.
Pearl grew up learning the fine laundry techniques of her mother. She learned when to brush, when to buff, when to fluff and when to scour. She also learned the valuable technique to let things soak for as long as possible so she could jig the night away.
For over 20 years, Pearl Clearwater scrubbed laundry in 17 different grubby towns. From mindful Minnesota to bawdy Boston, from the Great Lakes to the Beach of Boyton, from Tennessee where she left her heart to Pittsburgh where it got broken, she washed the Scotsman’s kilts and your Majesty’s unmentionables that she would often mention with enthusiasm and love.
Like an unforeseeable hole in the washtub, life dealt with Pearl an unkind hand as so she primarily stays close to her own washtub nowadays. A nostalgic washer woman dreaming of sudsy days gone by. So what’s next? She had the wonderous idea of creating a way to stay in touch with all the hearts that have touched hers and a way that would be faster than a message in a bottle.
